BHUTAN HIMALAYAS

  • Discover species new to science

    Exploring the wilderness of Bhutan

  • Unparalleled level of biodiversity

    Unique plant and animal species

The Buddhist kingdom of Bhutan lies in the Himalaya mountains and features an unparalleled level of biodiversity. The high mountain peaks and lush rain forests are home to pristine nature, with birds and mammals in every shape and colour. Little research has yet been conducted into the invertebrates native to this tiny country between China and India, so during the expedition we will search both day and night for natural treasures in the Phobjikha Valley. With his years of experience, Naturalis researcher Dr. Vincent Kalkman will introduce you to the secrets of the tropics.
